This year's Open was held in Seville, organized by the club Ubikuo. Those of you who already Ubikuo You might have been in tournaments before and would know in advance, as I knew that the tournament would be a very pleasant experience. So surely you did not know, like me, is that it would be both. Four days a multitude of activities that almost all knew a bit at the end. Lectures, problem solving tournaments, semi-improvised karaoke and other activities which even I was aware enlivened a tournament that would have been otherwise, one of the bunch. I deserve special mention the series of shorts on the go, absolutely unforgettable, and the paella final tournament, which tasted like heaven. Congratulations to both authors and all those who helped them. Speaking specifically of the organization, I take this blog to ask everyone, both tournament organizers and participants, let us not abandoned the route that many had thought but that few had dared to try until now to make a tournament (at least the big three days at the Open) in an experience on the go beyond the 6 simple games. I hope the Malaga next year remain high the flag of Andalusia in what relates to organize tournaments and give us another eventful tournament which also cost us forget. For my part, I offer to help as needed.
Turning to personal, bittersweet feelings, as usual. If you thought sacrifice my studies go by the Korean would not have consequences, was wrong. Players in much better shape so that I have shown, as might be Joan Alemany and Antonio Egea. However, not all were disappointments. The last day, after the hilarious award (this is Brown made a genuine showman ...), Luis Salgado was kind enough to propose go sightseeing with him, Hwang In-Seong (황인성, I think) and Zhang Yanqi. The truth is that I did not know none of them by sight and a little more but it was an afternoon stroll through Seville extremely pleasant. I really wanted to walk and now had seen the city, but going to walk was the best decision all weekend.
I left for last a lot about the transcendent happened at the meeting of this year's AEGO. There was a change of joint. Interestingly, at the beginning of the assembly had clear ideas about this issue when they finally voted on the matter. Found to my surprise, that coincided with the previous board on more issues than I thought and disagreed with the new more issues that he suspected he would. Asked if that changed my vote or not, I will not say here:-p Anyway, congratulations to Joan Alemany for his new position. I do not know if like the decisions that will take the board headed or not, I guess so, but what is certain is that it will work a lot and we will see much activity by the AEGO in the coming years. Just for that, you will have been worthwhile. I remember many years ago, when I was a newcomer in this the go, asked him to Caesar, in that moment I think treasurer or something, that I earned doing to AEGO partner. The poor man was unable to tell me at that time and since then has continued to question why all this time, remains unanswered. It seems that the aim of the new board is to put AEGO in a position to respond to the end. I hope they succeed.
