For decades, the great Miguel Leon Portilla's book entitled "The Vision of the Defeated" has served as a fundamental text for students and scholars of the conquest of America, and even more, of those who seek understand the mechanisms, economic and cultural sociological conquered peoples in Latin America. Even today, when all American countries are, and a long, independent nations, the book continues to set standards above and digging paths justificatory or at least explanations about the behavior of this current Latin America.
But I do not respect me more than this "vision of the vanquished." I clear the approach of Leon Portilla and I welcome the detailed account that makes the conquest of Mexico. Greatly respect the great thinker. However, as a citizen of one or more of these countries subject, think no more on the behavioral determinism that seeks to explain why our current misfortunes. Indeed, if we have educational materials such as León Portilla, is even more inexplicable our amnesia, our fear and our continental conformism. It is no longer "the vision of the vanquished" that ignores our behavior. We are facing an obsession. Wildcards and justifying the obsession of Latin America. The real evil. Eradicate the virus.
Thus started this blog for various purposes:
1) Emphasize how our Latin America is still trying to justify their historical amnesia, inability intrasocial democratic and servility in this position his own history of victimization has been awarded and with that many today are dressed comfortably.
2) Make it clear how such submission and subservience that are, today, the predictable result of political and social decisions that the American people themselves have taken and how, in spite of the enlightened approach of Leon Portilla and all their successors, and imposed the mandatory and desirable collective ignorance that keeps many of these oppressed peoples and peoples of Latin America.
3) Exposing the American pseudoderecha and its practitioners, in full exercise of the historical and social consciousness that the bulk of the American people prefer to avoid, or simply do not have the means to run. And incidentally, also expose the pseudoizquierda.
4) Move my political views to a blog exclusively devoted to them, to keep whispering in peace all the other things that concern me.
And so I invite you, from now on, to meet political reflections here in this specialized niche, and not where my emotional life, rational or simply chaotic, are making noise. Welcome
